My work is inspired by the people, places and things that surround me or dwell in my imagination.  Everyday objects, modes of transportation and images of myself are always available.  War, women and animals are more elusive subjects, but all are of interest.  I spend time studying my environment and remembering my past, thinking about history, how things move from place to place and how they are here and then gone.  Painting is the activity that brings all this to life.
